MPNMJEC Bus Tracker is a college bus tracking app for MPNMJEC students and transport users. The app helps users view active college buses, route information, stop information, and live bus tracking data.

Information The App Uses

The current student app does not collect the student's phone location.

The app connects to the MPNMJEC tracking server to fetch:

• Bus route information
• Stop information
• Active trip information
• Live bus tracking information
• Estimated route progress and upcoming stop information

The app may store the following information locally on the user's device:

• Recent stop searches
• Stop alarm enabled or disabled preference
• Stop alarm lead-time preference

This local information is used only to improve the app experience and is not used for advertising.

Information Sharing

The student app does not sell user data and does not contain third-party advertising.

Live bus tracking data is provided by the MPNMJEC transport tracking system. The app displays this data to users so they can track active college buses.

Data Security

The app uses HTTPS and secure WebSocket connections to communicate with the tracking server. Users should keep their device and operating system updated for the best security.

Data Retention And Deletion

Recent searches and alarm preferences are stored locally on the user's device. Users can clear recent searches in the app where available, or clear the app's storage from Android system settings.

Server-side transport data is managed by the MPNMJEC tracking system.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for MPNMJEC students, staff, and transport users. It is not designed as a child-directed app.
